(Seoul, May 14, 2026) The era has arrived where Taekwondo Poom·Dan certificates issued by Kukkiwon can be instantly accessed and verified on smartphones.
RaonSecure (Co-CEOs Soonhyung Lee and Junga Lee, 042510), an AI security and authentication platform company, recently completed the “Kukkiwon Digital ID” project, which digitally transforms Kukkiwon’s Taekwondo Poom·Dan certificates and qualifications into decentralized digital identity credentials.
As a result, Kukkiwon has established an authentication infrastructure capable of operating various Taekwondo-related certificates in digital form, laying the foundation for the full-scale digital transformation of Taekwondo administration.
n particular, a total of 27 credential types—including 13 Taekwondo Poom·Dan certificates previously issued only in paper or plastic card form and 14 certificates from the World Taekwondo Academy—have been converted into mobile digital identity credentials. Trainees and instructors can now conveniently present and verify their qualifications through the “Kukkiwon Digital ID” mobile app, while QR code functionality enables authentication both online and offline.
Previously, physical certificates served mainly as stored documents and made it difficult to immediately verify forgery or tampering. In contrast, the new system significantly enhances reliability through blockchain-based anti-tampering technology and real-time validity verification. Personal information is also protected using Decentralized Identity (DID) technology, further strengthening the trustworthiness and security of the credentials.
The project was built on RaonSecure’s blockchain-based integrated identity and credential platform, “OmniOne Digital ID.” This proven platform is also used in Korea’s national mobile ID issuance system serving 45 million users, supporting the entire lifecycle of digital IDs—from issuance and storage to submission and verification.
RaonSecure has been expanding the application of OmniOne Digital ID across various sectors, including universities, middle and high schools, sports, healthcare, and associations, and has now extended its reach to Kukkiwon. This demonstrates OmniOne Digital ID’s growing position as a highly versatile platform applicable across diverse fields.
RaonSecure plans to continue working with Kukkiwon to advance Taekwondo credential administration, while further expanding OmniOne Digital ID to the broader sports sector and various issuing organizations, including national and private certification bodies.
Kukkiwon also plans to build on this implementation to expand digital authentication services across Taekwondo administration and improve the efficiency of credential management.
Junga Lee, Co-CEO of RaonSecure, stated, “This project is an example of expanding the application of digital authentication services on a Web3-based infrastructure. We will continue working with various institutions and companies to ensure digital authentication leads to greater convenience and service innovation in everyday life.”
